Oven Method for Loaded Roasted Potatoes

  • Preheatthe Oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). This step iscrucial for getting that perfectly crispy texture
  • Preparethe Potatoes: Wash and peel the potatoes if desired. If you prefer arustic look, you can leave the skins on. Cut them into equal-sized chunks(about 1-inch pieces) to ensure they cook evenly
  • Mix the Seasoning: In a largebowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mixingthese ingredients together in advance allows the flavors to meld.
  • Toss the Potatoes: Addthe potato chunks to the bowl and toss them thoroughly to ensure they arecoated with the seasoning mixture. Use your hands to ensure an even coating.
  • Roast: Spread theseasoned potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchmentpaper. Make sure they are not overcrowded, as this will cause them to steamrather than roast. Roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, turningthem halfway through. Monitor them closely, as cooking times can differ basedon your oven.
  • Check for Doneness: Thepotatoes should be golden brown and tender when pierced with a fork. If theyneed more time, continue roasting for an additional 5-10 minutes,checking regularly to prevent burning.
