  • Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures yourpotatoes bake evenly and the cheese powder creates that golden, crispy top.
  • Prepare the Potatoes: Peel and thinly slice your potatoes into about 1/8-inch thick rounds.Try to keep them uniform in size for even cooking. If you have a mandolineslicer, this will speed up the process!

  • Make the Creamy Sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted,add the heavy cream, garlic powder, salt,and pepper. Stir everything together and bring it to a simmer,then lower the heat to keep it warm.
  • Add Cheese Powder: Whisk in the cheese powder until it’s fullydissolved, creating a rich, smooth sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed,adding more salt or pepper for extra flavor.
  • Layer the Potatoes: Grease a baking dish with butter or non-stick spray. Begin layeringthe sliced potatoes in the dish, slightly overlapping them. Pour some of thecreamy cheese sauce over each layer. Repeat until all potatoes are layered andsauce is evenly distributed.
  • Bakethe Dish:Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 40minutes. This allows the potatoes to cook through and absorb all the creamygoodness
